Flea Market Friday...

Short and sweet this week. A lovely book bought for the pretty, pink print on the cover.

Vintage, Rustic Kitchens

I watched Fried Green Tomatoes last night- it's one of my all time favorite films, but I haven't watched it in years.  This time around I couldn't get enough of the set decoration! Particularly the kitchen in the Whistle Stop Cafe- it's all scrubbed wooden tops and white enamel cupboards.  I couldn't seem to find any really good images of the set decoration but I found few which had a similar feel and which are equally inspiring -rustic, pretty, and a touch of the utilitarian, what a perfect combination!

On another note how wonderfully pretty is Ruth's apron and dress combination...I dream of looking like this while baking!

Flea Market Friday! What we found this week...

Floral oil painting ...
"I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck" said Emma Goldman, but if you can't have them on your table then hanging on your wall comes a close second- and definitely lasts longer!

Flea Market Friday...

Old furniture polish pots! Aren't they fabulous?!

They are all in various shades of periwinkle blue, I believe the polish was lavender scented, so they have that wonderful lavender blue hue to them. Some are prettily faded and some remain perfectly bright, either way we think they are wonderful. In fact, we are so in love with them that we have now added them to our website,  you can buy them here

Flea Market Friday...

I'm not sure what kind of hat was kept in this box but I can only imagine that it was very easily rollable!  Its is now serving as a storage box and I just love it! Look at all those beautiful fonts ahhh...
